DSLR Workshop Part 2

Many of my students from the Intro to DSLR Workshop have been asking about a follow up. So... here it is.

After much polling I have come up with the following format:

1. We will spend a short amount of time shooting images of my two children in the studio just so we all have some images to work with and so we get a little experience shooting together.

2. I will edit the images using Lightroom- talk about how I name them, download them, store them, knock 200 images down to 20, tone them using color presets or make them black and white, and export them as jpegs into a folder- then how I organize those folders.

3. I will critique 10 or 20 of your best images taken since the first class. You can bring them on a flash drive, external hard drive, etc. And we will look at them all as a class.

How's that?

The class should be no more than 3 hours total- but we'll see.

It will cost just $99- bargain!

Just got a fancy new DSLR and have no idea what all the buttons do? Felix will be holding a half day (11am-3pm) workshop at his studio to help you! In this fun training we will:

-go over basic camera functions and menus
-prove you are smarter than your camera!
-demystify shutter speed, aperture, depth of field with lots of examples and hands on shooting.
-introduce concepts of composition especially as they apply to people (kids, families, etc.)
-have plenty of one on one time to answer your specific questions

Come to my studio and bring your thoughtless and cruel DSLR and leave with the kind and gentle lifelong companion you always knew it could be.

The cost is $150 per person or $125 if you bring a friend.

Felix and Sara will share techniques for how to photograph children of all ages. We will start with an intro to equipment, design, and general technique at 10am. At 11am we will have a newborn model for half an hour with a chance for everyone to shoot, at 11:30 we will have a model age 2-3; at 12:00 we will have a model age 3-5, at 12:30 we will have our two kids age 10 and 13. Then there will be a short break and Felix will demonstrate selecting, editing, and toning images using Lightroom. Afterwards, for the professionally minded, he will discuss pricing, selling, and projecting images for clients. Should be crazy, chaotic, and fun. We want to limit the class to only a few students (maybe 8 total) so all will have plenty of one on one time with Felix and Sara.

Price will be $250 for the full 5.5-6 hours. $200 each if you bring a friend. You may pay on the day with a check, credit card, or cash- please don't sign up unless you intend to come because I want to limit class size.
